Our Trip
First we went to the Bike Path and our first 2 birds was 2 Eastern Kingbirds! A lifer for me. We also saw 1 Rough-winged Swallow nesting in a hole in the wall. and on the water we saw a Solitary Sandpiper and a HUGEEEE Snapping Turtle! Then we went to a little barn place (Sterling Peat) and saw swallows flying all around us and one of them was a Bank Swallow! Then after that we saw 2 Solitary Sandpipers and 2 Spotted Sandpipers in the same spot. this Killdeer was faking he hurt his wing because we must have been near his nest! He came right at our car and stared at us! When we started to leave my dad heard a Prarie Warbler and stopped! And also there was a Brown Thrasher there sitting on a tree singing! We left and went to another spot by the mountains we got a Blackburnian Warbler! it was so pretty with all the orange. after that we saw 2 Canada Warblers fighting! Then we saw a field and there was a Coopers Hawk going after Bobolinks and Red-winged Blackbirds! Then we went home and got my brother and went to a field and tried to look for a Grasshopper Sparrow and we got it!
